Patient journey

1. Your consultation

Our dentist will use cutting-edge technology to take an intra-oral digital scan, capturing every detail of your mouth. These images, along with the photos, will be sent to a skilled smile designer. When the image comes back, you’ll be offered a ‘smile test drive’ at your ‘try smile’ appointment.

Patient journey

2. Your treatment

During your final fit appointment, the procedure will be completed and you’ll walk out with a new smile makeover.

Patient journey

3. Aftercare

Avoid staining foods and drinks for the first 48 hours, and brush gently with a non-abrasive toothpaste. Regular dental check-ups going forwards are essential to ensure your bonding stays in top condition.

Same Day Smile FAQs

  • This treatment involves using porcelain veneers, lab-milled composite veneers, or composite bonding to transform your smile. These procedures can painlessly address various dental issues, including chipped or cracked teeth, gaps between teeth, and discolouration. The veneer or bonding material is carefully applied, shaped, and polished to blend seamlessly with your teeth, giving you a beautiful new smile in one visit. You’ll discuss with our dentists which is the best material option for you, when you visit us for your consultation.

The time required for composite bonding or veneers can vary depending on the number of teeth being treated and the complexity of the case. However, in many cases, composite bonding or veneers can be completed in a single visit, often taking just 30 to 60 minutes per tooth.

  • Following your consultation, and after the lab have come back with a Cad/Cam digital design, you’ll be offered a ‘Try smile’ appointment. This appointment will involve a ‘smile test drive’ with temporary material. You’ll see the results as a ‘try smile’. After this, if any adjustments are needed to be made, this can be communicated, and tweaks can be made for the final fit appointment.

  • This dental technique uses injection moulded composite material to transform your smile. Our dentist will craft a custom mould for you, precisely shaping the composite to your natural teeth. No injections, no discomfort – just a digitally designed smile tailored to you. The composite is expertly shaped and polished, resulting in a natural-looking enhancement.

  • Lab milled composite veneers are used in dental aesthetics to improve the appearance of the teeth and the overall smile. They are adapted to the individual needs of each person. It is a minimally-invasive treatment and does not usually require an anaesthetic. These veneers are digitally designed and prepared in a lab with bespoke insertion trays resulting in a smooth and successful final fit.

  • Yes. Composite bonding and veneers tend to last for around 5-10 years. But porcelain veneers can last for around 15 years. They’re worth the cost and you’ll need fewer dental visits.

Additional benefits include the fact they’re not susceptible to discolouration, unlike composite bonding, meaning you don’t have to worry about losing that shiny white colour. They’re also less likely to chip than composite materials but you still need to care for them.

We also offer traditional composite bonding here at the High St Dental Care practice and have a couple of dentists who create first-class natural-looking teeth enhancements, which have resulted in some impressive smile transformations.

  • Composite bonding and veneers are versatile treatments that can address many cosmetic dental issues. It’s particularly effective for:

    • Repairing chipped or cracked teeth
    • Closing small gaps between teeth
    • Improving the shape or length of teeth
    • Covering discoloration or stains

For more severe dental problems or when a more durable, long-term solution is needed, our dentist may recommend alternative treatments such as crowns. You’ll have this discussion with him when you have your pre-treatment consultation.

“Never been happier!”

“After being told by my previous dentist (at another practice) that I couldn’t improve my smile without it looking “odd”, I was pleasantly surprised when Nakul gave me lots of options to choose from. I’ve just finished a course of whitening, ICON treatment and composite bonding and have never been happier with my smile! I’ve always been self-conscious of the gaps between my teeth, but not now! Nakul explained every step of the treatment plan thoroughly and helped set my expectations for what we could achieve, with my choices of treatment. However, the results have exceeding my expectations, so thank you Nakul and Demi.”
